Story:

Lester was put in charge of the anomaly opperation. He disliked Nick Cutter and found most of the team annoying. Lester also says regular sarcastic comments. Lester ordered the capture of Helen Cutter from the Cretaceous anomaly. However, Helen would not answer any of his questions saying only that she wants to see Nick and that a pride of Sabre-Tooths will come through an anomaly in central London soon. Lester allowed Nick and Helen to go through the Permain anomaly in search of a future one, but they didn't find one and when Nick came back he found everything had changed.

In series 2 Lester had an assistant called Leek. Lester hired a PR woman called Jenny Lewis to help with the team. Nick called her Claudia as according to him she looked like someone he had known before the changes occured. Lester fired Cutter in episode 4, but it turned out that Nick was right about the creature having moved from the reservoir, so Lester hired him again. Lester appointed Connor temporary team leader when Cutter and Stephen were trapped in the past. Cutter and Stephen returned, however, through another anomaly.

Leek almost killed Lester, using a future predator, which he could control. Lester, however, fought it off with a machine gun and it was killed when Lester released the Columbian mammoth onto it. Leek also planned to blow up the ARC, but Connor and Nick managed to stop the bomb going off. When all of Leek's details came pouring into Lester's computer thanks to Connor and Nick, Lester rounded up all the creatures that were ready to be released round the country.

In series 3 Lester hired Captain Becker as a replacement for Stephen who had died. The ARC was almost destroyed in a fire when Helen and her army of clones attacked it. Nick died which caused sadness in the team. Meanwhile, Lester found out that Christine Johnson was up to something to do with the anomalies. It seemed she had an anomaly in her own ARC. Lester was temporarily replaced by Christine Johnson, when she told the minister she had something of hers in his possession. However, Captain Becker sent a message to the minister with a recording of Christine verbally abusing the minister. The minister put Lester back in charge after that.

When Danny Quinn, who Lester had found as a replacement for Nick to Christine's disgust, told Lester that Christine had a mysterious woman in her HQ, Lester told Danny not to investigate, Danny, however, did and brought Eve back to the ARC. Christine then turned up ready to arrest Danny after he broke into her HQ. She also wanted Eve and the artifact. Eve then revealed herself to be Helen and she held a gun to Christine's Head. Helen told Connor to give her the artifact or Christine would die. Lester told Connor to give Helen the artifact, if Helen killed Christine, it would go against Health and Safety Laws.
